Terms & Conditions

• The renter must be 18 years of age or above.
• A valid driving licence suitable for the rented vehicle is required.
• Required identification and other documents must be provided at the time of rental.
• Hills Bike Adventure may decline a rental if the required eligibility or documentation is not fulfilled.

Bookings are subject to vehicle availability and the rental period agreed at the time of reservation. For a one-day rental, the vehicle must be returned within the agreed rental timeframe. Any extension should be confirmed before the scheduled return time and remains subject to vehicle availability.

• A refundable security deposit is required before the vehicle is handed over.
• The deposit amount may vary depending on the vehicle and rental requirements.
• An additional deposit may apply for certain outstation or longer-distance journeys.
• Any applicable deductions may be made for damage, loss or other outstanding charges.

• The rented vehicle must be used carefully and responsibly throughout the rental period.
• A maximum of two persons are permitted on one bike.
• The vehicle must not be used for racing, stunts, reckless riding, or any unlawful activity.
• Overloading or improper use of the vehicle is not permitted.
• The renter must not make unauthorized modifications or repairs to the vehicle.
• The renter remains responsible for the vehicle until it is returned and accepted.

• Fuel charges are not included in the rental price.
• Fuel used during the rental period is the responsibility of the renter.
• The vehicle should be returned with the agreed fuel level.
• Any applicable shortage or fuel-related charges may be recovered from the renter.

The renter should check the vehicle before taking possession and bring any visible concerns to the attention of Hills Bike Adventure before starting the journey. At the end of the rental:

• The vehicle must be returned within the agreed time.
• It should be returned in the condition in which it was provided, allowing for normal use.
• Any damage, missing parts or other issues identified during inspection may be chargeable to the renter.

The renter is responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle throughout the rental period. Any damage, missing parts, or loss caused during the rental may result in additional charges based on the nature and extent of the issue.

If a mechanical or other vehicle-related problem occurs, the renter should avoid unauthorized repairs or modifications unless otherwise agreed.

• Outstation travel may be permitted for selected destinations, subject to the vehicle, route and applicable rental conditions.
• Special rental terms or additional charges may apply for destinations such as Leh-Ladakh, Spiti, Dharamshala, Shimla and other outstation routes.
• Certain areas may have local restrictions on bikes rented from outside the destination. Where such restrictions apply, the renter may need to arrange a locally permitted vehicle for sightseeing.

• The renter is required to comply with all applicable traffic laws and local regulations throughout the rental period.
• Wearing a helmet while riding is mandatory.
• Speeding, racing, stunts, and reckless riding are not permitted.
• Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
• Any traffic fines, penalties, or challans arising during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter.

• The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date and time.
• If the vehicle is returned after the agreed time, additional rental charges may apply depending on the duration of the delay and the applicable rental terms.
• Where an extension is required, it should be arranged before the scheduled return time and is subject to availability.

• Cancellation or changes to a confirmed booking are subject to the applicable booking terms.
• Cancellation charges, where applicable, will depend on the timing and conditions of the booking.
• Returning the vehicle before the agreed rental period does not automatically qualify for a refund.
• Any applicable refund or cancellation adjustment will be handled according to the booking terms.

The renter is responsible for the vehicle and their use of it throughout the rental period. In the event of an accident, theft, damage, or other incident, the renter must act responsibly and provide the necessary information regarding the incident. Any costs or responsibilities arising from the renter's use of the vehicle will be handled according to the applicable rental terms and law.

Riders are responsible for their own luggage, valuables, and personal belongings during the rental period. Hills Bike Adventure is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal items carried with or left in the rented vehicle.

• Mountain travel can be affected by weather, snowfall, road closures, landslides, government restrictions and other conditions beyond the control of the rental provider.
• Route accessibility and travel plans may therefore change depending on the conditions at the time of the journey.

Hills Bike Adventure reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a rental where there is a violation of these terms, incorrect documentation, misuse of the vehicle, unsafe riding or any activity that may put the vehicle, rider or others at risk.

By confirming a booking or accepting a vehicle from Hills Bike Adventure, the renter confirms that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them throughout the rental period.

Any dispute arising in connection with the rental services shall be subject to the applicable laws and jurisdiction of Manali, Himachal Pradesh.
